« Tsenaben’ny Fizahantany » : A large number of visitors over the three days
The organizers plan to hold this show dedicated to promoting national tourism three times a year.
“National tourists are very interested in traveling to discover all the regional destinations in Madagascar. They have responded well to the appeal of exhibitors, who have made every effort to launch promotional offers that match the population’s purchasing power, as part of their participation in the first edition of the “Tsenaben’ny Fizahantany”, which lasted three days at the Jardin d’Antaninarenina”. The Minister of Transport, Tourism and Meteorology, Joël Randriamandranto, spoke at the closing ceremony of the event last Saturday. The show is organized by the Ministry in partnership with the Office National du Tourisme de Madagascar (ONTM). The organizers plan to hold the event three times a year, with a view to launching national tourism.
Sales achieved. The three-day event attracted a large number of visitors. The target of 5,000 visitors was almost reached. Many residents preferred to travel to Nosy-Be or Sainte-Marie in the near future, thanks to promotional offers, while other nationals were interested in new destinations that are not yet very popular with holidaymakers. For their part, tourism operators have come up with new offers. These included the discovery of tourist sites along the Canal des Pangalanes. They also expressed their satisfaction with their participation in the “Tsenaben’ny Fizahantany” trade show. Indeed, some of them even made sales during the event, all the more so as the Tsaradia airline offered an exceptional discount on air fares on domestic flights. In addition, the Minister recalled that “the opening of the maritime line linking Toamasina and Mananjary via the Canal des Pangalanes will be inaugurated before the end of the year”, while pointing out that the objective of reaching 500,000 tourists by 2023 remains unchanged.
