Itinerary

Day 1: In Antananarivo

One of our team will wait for you at the airport with a sign containing your name, after all formalities, money changes, transfer to your hotel. ­

Overnight at Ecole Lodge on BB or similar

Day 2: Antananarivo-Diego 1hr 15mn flight

Depend on the flight schedule, transfer to the airport for the domestic flight, and of course transfer directly to your hotel there.

Day 3: Diego

This day will dedicate to visit around. Just outside of Antsiranana (8km) we will see the Montagne des Français, a popular mountain with rock-climbers; and visit three bays: Bay des Sakalava, Bay des Pigeons, Bay des Dûnes. You will also see the beautiful “Pain du Sucre” (sugarloaf), a sacred 122 meters high, uninhabited island that is situated in the bay of Antsiranana. Day 4: Diego to Amber Mountain: 75 km

After breakfast you will leave Diego and start driving south; the dry savanna quickly gives way to evergreen forest; around one hour you will arrive at Amber Mountain National Park and start your visit; it is an isolated rainforest and as such, the rate of endemic in its flora and fauna is high; distinctive features of the massif include four crater lakes and three much-photographed waterfalls; there are several trails fanning out from the picnic spot to choose from; you can also opt for an extra evening walk to see the nocturnal species.

Day 5: Amber Mountain to Ankarana: 55 km

After breakfast, drive to Ankarana reserve. you will visit again the famous Tsingy but on the north part, it will take around 3 hours.

Day 6: Ankarana – Ankify – Nosy Be (150km+boat)

After breakfast drive to Ankify, on our way you will enjoy the scenery and visit plantations. You will have the opportunity to see and smell where all those lovely food flavours come from, cacao, vanilla, peppers, and cloves; the drive will be around 4 hours and the rest of the time can be spent in the laid back town of Ankify; this is also the place where the boat leaves to bring you to Nosy Be for onward travelling. Overnight at Belveder hotel on BB or similar

Day 7 + 8 : Stay in Nosy be

2 days on your own, possibility of city tour of the ylang ylang island or

relax and enjoy the beach, or again visit the most precious tourism attraction local.

Day 9 : Nosy Be-Antananarivo: 1hr 30mn flight

Leave Nosy be and flight back to the capital. If time allows, you will do the city tour and will pass at the handcraft market. Overnight at Ecole Lodge on BB or similar

Day 10 : Tana – out

Fly back home.
