A unique primary forest
Made up of two separate protected areas: Analamazoatra Special Reserve and Mantadia National Park; Andasibe-Mantadia National Park is only about three hours from the capital. A refuge for many plant and animal species, almost the entire park is made up of primary forest that has never been modified by humans. It is therefore not uncommon to come across a multitude of species: lemurs, birds, chameleons, and insects of all kinds.
The climate of the park is quite cool, the average temperature is around 20°C and it rains most of the year. Therefore, plan to bring something to cover yourself if the weather gets worse. You will find all types of accommodation in the town of Andasibe and in the surroundings of the park, but it is also possible to camp in the reserve of Analamazoatra.
